The NPL ARRMP sets forth range management and conservation goals, objectives, and strategies that individual ranchers and farmers will utilize to develop customized individual range management unit and agricultural lease plans. Each NPL range management unit has conditions that vary with seasons, elevations, water availability, current available forage, and other factors, and thus, each individual plan will have varying goals, objectives, and strategies based on the land’s condition and the land users’ needs. These goals, objectives, and strategies were vetted during six public scoping sessions across NPL.

Subsequently, ETD prepared a PEA that assessed impacts as a result of the implementation of the ARRMP and the no-action alternative. Much like the ARRMP document, project sponsors can use information from this PEA to develop site-specific environmental assessments or categorical exclusions to determine impacts resulting from individual range management unit and agricultural lease plans.
