ETD Inc. attends ONABEN Peer Mentoring Program

ONABEN is a national non-profit organization that provides economic development services throughout Indian Country. They were awarded a grant by the SBA to assist small minority businesses in growing their ability to provide contractual services to the federal government and other entities such as Native tribes.

The program, Bridge to Success: Peer Mentoring and Entrepreneurial Exchange program is a cohort of small businesses in New Mexico, Texas and Oklahoma. Through this program they help existing Minority growth-oriented small businesses, particularly those who are currently engaged or interested in government contracting.

ETD Inc. applied and was selected to participate in the program, as we are actively working to grow our business. We have attended many government contracting workshops in the past year, this program is by far the most comprehensive. The peer mentoring component is the most valuable, as the peer mentors have first hand experience in becoming registered and certified with the Federal government.

We learned so much in our first two-day training in El Paso, TX about Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), business teaming, and how to market our business to the government. We are excited for the upcoming training in Albuquerque, NM and Tulsa, OK later this year.
